My First Book

On Thursday September 26, 2013, Iris Mrkonjiæ, a second grade pupil at our school attended a competition entitled ''My First Book''.  This competition was held in the Zorin Theatre in Karlovac. It was organized by the Center for Neo-Humanistic Studies in Karlovac.

Our young Iris Mrkonjiæ wrote and ilustrated her own picture book entitled: ''The Tree-House''.

The pupils had consultations and suggestions for development, they watched projected pictures from picture books and looked at the other books which were on display for the competition.

Famous Croatian contemporary writers Sanja Piliæ and Tito Bilopavloviæ along with the Town Mayor of the City of Karlovac prezented the awards and diplomas. This was an unforgettable experience for our young authors and an incentive for further works.
